Summer in Rome
Summer is a special time in Rome, with lots of different events taking place almost every night that don't usually take place during the wintertime.
Many bars and restaurants move their service outdoors, serving up special refreshing menus and extend their hours of business, well into the night. Streets fill up with locals and tourists alike, who wander around the city, enjoying all it has to offer, with activities ranging from fine dining, to open-air plays and concerts, to leisure and sports activities.
Over the past month, also Residenza Borromini had the pleasure of entertaining its visitors and guests with an exciting event. A unique experience under the stars: a classical concert, featuring some of the most famous opera arias, performed by Roma Opera Omnia, a fabulous three-piece string ensemble accompanied by a wonderful soprano.
There is nothing more romantic and evocative than a classical concert in our Borromini Cloister, with its open-air seating, glowing candlelight and dramatically lit columns. The small cloister was filled with the wonderful voice of the soprano Paola, accompanied by Baroque violin, cello and a Spanish 12 string guitar.
This unique performance was the perfect opportunity to relive some of Vivaldi's most famous pieces, while sipping a flute of Prosecco. The concert, in fact, also included a guided tour of Palazzo Pamphili and the Collegio Innocenziano, topped off with a wonderful aperitif served on our La Grande Bellezza roof terrace, which offers its visitors an exclusive 360° view of Rome.
A truly magical atmosphere and experience only a prestigious location such as Residenza Borromini can offer.
