The 'Borromini' art gallery
Masterpieces within a masterpiece
The spaces in the entrance hall before the cloister and the common areas of the 4th floor are reserved to the Palace Art Gallery. Many of the exhibits are a collection of objects and works found in the building before the renovation. Others belong to the collections of antique shops of the nearby Via dei Corononari, famous for its wonderful shops full of works of art. All exhibits are for sale, by appointment.
At the ground floor level, following the hallway leading to the elevator you will se on the right hand side the old cloister. The courtyard itself is a work of art. Designed by architect Borromini in 1654, with its refined linearity and rigorous elegance. Borromini here applied Renaissance architectural standards, developing them in true Baroque style.
