Residenza Donna Olimpia Excellence signed by Eitch Borromini
A Sanctuary of elegance and tranquillity, offering a timeless experience
Overlooking Gian Lorenzo Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers in Piazza Navona, in the prestigious setting of the church of Sant'Agnese in Agone, the luxurious residence of Pope Innocent X holds the secrets of power and ambition of a time of past grandeur. Three different lodging solutions within an oasis of refinement and serenity, where history is palpable with every step. Frescoes, precious marbles, the finely carved papal bed: the magnificent opulence of Roman Baroque reigns within every wall. Yet, it is the secret intimacy of these lodgings that embraces guests from the moment they enter, leaving time and space behind at the doorstep.
A modern retreat nestled in a historical context, where the very concept of “wonder” connects seemingly distant eras such as the Baroque and the contemporary, in a constant and intimate exchange of allusions and quotations. Every detail is designed to envelop you in an embrace of sophisticated hospitality, which blends harmoniously with the highest contemporary standards and advanced technological solutions, offering each guest a unique, tailor-made experience.

Navona Suite
By crossing the reading room, stippled with books dedicated to Italian fashion and the Pamphilj family, one reaches the Lounge room. Here gold and purple give way to the more muted tones of the furnishings, in the sign of a perfect symbiosis between the Sacred and the Profane. Every comfortable modernity is hidden from view but extremely efficient. The masterpiece is the room created for Pope Innocent X in which light enters, settling on a central thalamus of rare beauty, topped by an imposing 17th-century fresco. The light continues to dance to the master bathroom, bouncing off the huge slabs of pale marble and refracting off the golden mosaic tiles inside the whirlpool. Finally, the light resumes its path toward Piazza Navona, leaving through the window sashes of the little terrace. The spectacle is breathtaking, and for a moment, at this very spot, we can truly be a Pope.
The fabrics of the curtains and armchairs harmonize with the warm tones of Francesco Allegrini’s fresco on the ceiling, both Illuminated by the afternoon sunlight streaming through the fabrics. By sweeping your gaze from the entrance room, you enjoy a panoramic view of all the frescoed spaces that lead back to the foyer. From the dressing room to the study and then, finally, the piano room, that will unfold before your eyes, framed by the precious red marble of the imposing lintels. The last room overlooking Via dell'Anima is a bedroom adorned with stucco on the walls and a large ceiling fresco. The colors of the room are perfectly harmonized with the fabrics, upholstery and curtains. Silence reigns supreme, interrupted only by the notes of the piano that one observes comfortably seated in the armchair by the window.
